Design workshops
Sometimes design teams needs a break, sometimes a fresh start and sometimes a critical friend. Short design workshops can breath new life into a stale project, can help re-enthuse your team and forge stronger collaborations. Workshops can generate a large amount of ideas in a short time and make the team familiar with new design processes and experience prototyping techniques.
User studies for inspiration
Working together using techniques such as Cultural Probes, the Exotic in the Everyday, and Gonzo Design we can explore new design areas and find new inspiration. This is not a process of data gathering, but rather collecting stories, scenarios and experiences which can be developed into design proposals. This process can be done by Everything I Know in conjunction with your team or using our network of design researchers. Please see the Everything I Know site for more on these techniques.
Mentoring
Every designer needs a critical friend. We can help give your designers new energy and enthusiasm, expose them to new design techniques and act as sounding board for their current and future design challenges.
Project therapy
As well as individual mentoring we can offer project assessment and ‘therapy’. We can review your current projects and asses their possible directions and outcomes. This may include workshops and follow-up sessions.
Sketching workshops
Everything I Know offers drawing workshops for non-drawers and non-designers, looking at where drawing and sketching come into working practice, and how to feel comfortable with sketching and showing your sketches to others. Workshop themes includes sketching for scenarios, prototypes, form development and presentation; We’ll also cover knowing when to draw and when to get in an illustrator.

We have lectured on a range of design research techniques including: Cultural Probes, Experience Design, Experience prototyping, and Presentation techniques at conferences, in companies, and in academia. We can also create customised talks based on your design needs. We’ve found that talks work best when combined with workshop or mentoring sessions.
